Dimple Ajmera

Dimple Ajmera is a four-term incumbent on the Charlotte City Council. She immigrated to the United States at age 16, learned English, and graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in accounting. Before entering public service, she worked as a Certified Public Accountant for Deloitte and TIAA-CREF. Ajmera was the first Asian-American and youngest woman elected to the City Council. She previously represented District 5 before being elected to an at-large seat in 2017.
