Donnie Baker, a Republican, is the Sheriff of Caroline County, Maryland, elected in November 2022. A lifelong resident of the county, he has over three decades of law enforcement experience within the Caroline County Sheriff's Office. Before his election, Baker served as a Lieutenant and Commander of the Criminal Investigation Division. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Wilmington University. An active member of the community, he has been involved with school safety initiatives and youth sports organizations. Baker is a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Denton.
