Doug Elrod was elected as Mayor of Bondurant in November 2021, with his four-year term beginning in January 2022. Before becoming mayor, he served for six years on the City Council, from 2015 to 2021. He holds a B.A. in Criminology and Spanish from the University of Northern Iowa. Professionally, Elrod is a Commercial Claims Manager at Nationwide in the Agribusiness Department and holds an AIC Professional Insurance Designation. He is married with three children and actively supports the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
