Douglas "Eddie" Marlowe is a lifelong resident of the Long View and Hildebran communities. He is a retired law enforcement veteran, having served as a Sergeant for the Long View Police Department where he was involved in community outreach before retiring in 2024 after 25 years of service. He is currently employed by the City of Hickory's Parks, Recreation, and Sports Tourism Department as a recreation programmer. Marlowe has also been involved with the community as a board member for Centro Latino.
