He previously served in the Montana Senate from 2011 to 2019, holding leadership roles such as Majority Whip and chairing committees like Business, Labor and Economic Affairs. A fourth-generation Montanan residing in Great Falls, he owns multiple businesses in real estate, manufacturing, and high tech. His community involvement includes serving as Chairman of Benefis Health Systems and coaching high school football. He won re-election to the House in 2024, but due to term limits, he will be unable to seek re-election for this seat in 2026.
