He currently serves as a Trustee on the Northport Village Council in Leelanau County, a position he won as a write-in candidate in the November 2024 election. Following his election, a Michigan State Police investigation cleared him of questions regarding his official residency declaration, and he was officially sworn into the Village Council in January 2025.
