Elizabeth Shaffer

Elizabeth Shaffer is the current Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board commissioner for District 4, an office she has held since January 2022. She is a teacher and a mother. She earned a graduate degree from the University of Illinois, Chicago in 1994 and also attended Wheaton College. She has announced she will be stepping down from the Park & Rec Board after her current term, regardless of the city council election outcome.
