Ellyn Hefner

Ellyn Hefner, a Democrat, currently represents District 87 in the Oklahoma House of Representatives, having first assumed office in November 2022. She is seeking re-election in 2026, advancing unopposed from her party's primary. Hefner is recognized for her willingness to collaborate across the aisle and has championed legislation supporting individuals with special needs. As the Minority Caucus Vice Chair, she serves on key committees including Health and Human Services Oversight, Insurance, and Energy. She also co-chairs the Heartland Caucus, focusing on health care policy, and holds leadership roles within the National Council of Insurance Legislators. An Oklahoma City native, she graduated from Mount St. Mary High School.
