Elvis Jones is a retired employee of the North Carolina Department of Corrections. He currently serves as a pastor for two churches: Mt. Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church in Bethel and Lily of the Valley Missionary Baptist Church in Everetts. He previously served as a town commissioner for Bethel, having first been elected in 1985. He is also a volunteer guardian ad litem with the North Carolina court system.
