Emily Sharpe is the current Mayor of Elon, first elected in 2021. Prior to being mayor, she served on the Board of Aldermen from 2017 to 2021. She is employed by TIAA as the Living Well Program Director. Sharpe has a background in health promotion and has volunteered with various local organizations, including the Alamance County Service League and Elon's Recreation and Parks Board. She moved to Elon with her husband, Logan, in 2014.
