Etteinne "E.T." Mitchell

Etteinne "E.T." Mitchell was first elected to the Craven County Board of Commissioners in 2018 and was re-elected in 2022. She previously served on the Board of Alderman for the City of New Bern. Mitchell retired to New Bern in 2009 after a two-decade career as a Naval Intelligence Officer, where she specialized in crisis operations, counter-espionage, and anti-submarine warfare. Her father was a career Air Force officer. She is a graduate of The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. Mitchell has served on numerous boards and commissions, including the North Carolina Military Affairs Commission, the Craven Community College board, and the New Bern Housing Authority.
