Evan J. Vickers is a Republican politician, pharmacist, and incumbent Majority Leader of the Utah State Senate, representing District 28 since 2013. He previously served in the Utah House of Representatives from 2009 to 2012. A University of Utah alumnus, he is married with five children and was born in Panguitch, Utah. Vickers advocates for a tax and regulation structure conducive to small business growth, increased state control over public lands to boost energy production, and strong immigration enforcement, including E-Verify. He is running for re-election to the State Senate in 2026, having advanced from the Republican primary without opposition, and will face a Democratic challenger in the general election.
