Gary Lawrence is a candidate for Town of Weaverville Mayor in Weaverville, North Carolina — 2025 General Election. Running as Democratic.

Gary, also known as "Dee" Lawrence, is a native of Charlottesville, Virginia, and has been a resident of Weaverville for over 16 years. He graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and has lived in North Carolina for more than 40 years. Prior to his involvement in local government, he was a retired tech sales manager and specialist. His interest in Weaverville's governance was sparked after completing the Town of Weaverville Citizens' Academy.
