George E. McDermott

George E. McDermott is a Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in Maryland's 4th Congressional District. An entrepreneur with a background as a contractor, builder, and developer, he currently works as a victims' rights advocate. McDermott has previously run for Congress multiple times as both a Democrat and a Republican. He graduated from a New Jersey vocational-technical school in 1962 and states he has 20 years of legal training from advocating against the Maryland judicial system. Born in Cheverly, Prince George's County, McDermott is a resident of Forest Heights, Maryland. He has stated that, if elected, he would prioritize legislation that benefits all citizens rather than voting strictly along party lines.
