Glenn F. Ivey is an American attorney and politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Maryland's 4th Congressional District. A member of the Democratic Party, he assumed office in 2023. Born in Chelsea, Massachusetts, on February 27, 1961, Ivey is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School. His public service career includes two terms as the State's Attorney for Prince George's County, Maryland, from 2002 to 2011. He also has significant experience on Capitol Hill, having worked as counsel for the Senate Whitewater Committee and as chief counsel to former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle. In the House, Representative Ivey holds positions on the influential House Ethics and Appropriations Committees.
