Gregg Hart is a Democratic politician currently serving as the California State Assemblymember for the 37th District, having assumed office in December 2022. Prior to his election to the State Assembly, Hart served as a Santa Barbara County Supervisor and was elected to four terms on the Santa Barbara City Council. A Santa Barbara native, he earned degrees from Santa Barbara City College and UC Santa Barbara, and owned a local early-childhood education center for twenty years.
