Heidi Garrido is the first woman of color to serve on the Hopkins City Council. Born in Chile, she was adopted and raised in Wisconsin before moving to Minnesota in 2003. She is a mother of three and a 10-year resident of Hopkins. Garrido earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science with a certification in LGBTQ+ Studies from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee in 2022, and a DEI certification from the University of Minnesota. Prior to her work in public service, she owned a photography business for 15 years.
