Jamar Day is a community organizer running as a nonpartisan candidate for the Board of Education At Large in Baltimore City, Maryland. Day has a history of civic engagement and advocacy in Baltimore. As an Equity Policy Fellow with the Teachers' Democracy Project, he focused on designing an equity framework for the district and creating a policy platform around community involvement in schools and wrap-around supports. He is a passionate advocate against gun violence and has worked to build generational wealth through local homeownership initiatives in West Baltimore. Previously, Day ran as a Democratic candidate for District 7 of the Baltimore City Council in 2016.
