James A. Dellmyer

James A. Dellmyer, a Republican, serves as the State's Attorney for Cecil County, Maryland. He was appointed to the position in December 2019 after serving as Interim State's Attorney and Deputy State's Attorney. Dellmyer earned his B.A. from St. Joseph's University and his J.D. from Widener University School of Law. Prior to joining the State's Attorney's Office in 2018, he worked in private practice for several years. As State's Attorney, he leads the office responsible for prosecuting all criminal cases within Cecil County and has focused on enhancing office efficiency and supporting law enforcement.
