James "Bo" McAllister is a Democratic official serving as the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Wicomico County, Maryland. He was first elected to the office in November 2018 and re-elected in 2022. Prior to his tenure as Clerk, McAllister spent several years in public service. From 2014 to 2018, he served as an Assistant State's Attorney for Wicomico County. Previously, he was an Assistant Attorney General in Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands, from 2012 to 2014. McAllister earned his bachelor's degree from James Madison University before obtaining his J.D. and LL.M. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law. He resides in Wicomico County.
