James 'Ricky' Credle has been the Mayor of Belhaven since November 2017. Prior to being elected mayor, he served on the Town Council from 2015 to 2017. He is a 1991 graduate of Northside High School and earned an associate degree in accounting and business administration from Beaufort County Community College in 2004. He is also a 2019 graduate of the Ambassador Leadership Corp program through the UNC School of Government. His career experience includes working as an accountant technician with the town of Belhaven.
