James "Jim" Lee Mixson III has served as the Iredell County Clerk of Superior Court since being sworn into office in December 2012. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and also an honor graduate from Mitchell Community College. Before his election, Mixson worked as a North Carolina Probation/Parole officer for over 17 years and previously held management positions at Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated. He is actively involved in the community, serving as a scoutmaster, a member of the Statesville Rotary Club, and on the board for Iredell County Crimestoppers.
