James Pellecchia is a lifelong resident of Union Township, with family roots in the community dating back to the 1940s. He graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1983 with a degree in Construction Engineering Technology. His career includes working for his family's construction business, serving as a construction executive at Turner Construction Company, and founding Pellecchia Development, a custom home building company. Pellecchia previously served two terms on the Union Township Board of Education starting in 1999, where he held positions as Vice President and Chairman of the Building Committee. He has also been a board member for Daytop School, a treatment center for adolescents. Now retired, he and his wife Susan have raised three children in the township.
