James "Jimmy" Rogers is the owner of Haywood Tractor Company. He has previously served as a board member for Haywood County Schools for 18 years. He has also been involved with various committees and boards, including the Haywood County Fair Board and the Clyde Masonic Lodge. In 2019, he was recommended for an appointment to the Clyde Planning Board. He expressed a desire to serve the town of Clyde, where he was born and raised, to help it grow while maintaining its "mountain town" character.
