Jan Brown is a Democratic candidate for Idaho State Senate District 33, bringing a 43-year career in conservation, outdoor recreation advocacy, and nonprofit leadership to her campaign. A graduate of Oregon State University, she moved to Idaho Falls in 1976. Brown served as the first executive director of the Henry's Fork Foundation and as a natural resources advisor to Governor John Evans. She retired in 2020 and emphasizes collaborative, consensus-based problem-solving. Her policy priorities include local control over water management and conserving Idaho's natural resources. She previously ran for Bonneville County Commissioner in 2024.
