He graduated from Maiden High School and earned degrees in Business Management and Industrial Management from Catawba Valley Community College. Since 2015, he has worked as a Life & Retirement Specialist at Unifour Life & Retirement in Hickory. He also serves as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher at Tri-City Baptist Church in Conover. He is married to his wife, Amy, and they have one son.
