Jay Vaingankar is a former Biden administration official and community organizer running for the U.S. House of Representatives to represent New Jersey's 12th Congressional District. He previously served as a Special Advisor in the Office of Policy for the U.S. Department of Energy, focusing on clean energy implementation. He currently works as the Director of Policy and Markets at Solar Landscape. The son of Indian immigrants, he grew up in New Jersey and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania.
