Jen Plumb

Dr. Jen Plumb, a Salt Lake City native, is an incumbent Democratic State Senator for Utah’s District 9. A pediatric emergency room physician, she earned her MD from the University of Utah. Motivated by the loss of her brother to an overdose, she is a dedicated advocate against the opioid crisis, securing bipartisan support for Naloxone access and opening Andy's Utah Naloxone Clinic. She also champions gender equality, seeking to eliminate the gender pay gap and ratify the ERA, and fiercely defends transgender rights against discriminatory legislation. Plumb is running for re-election to continue her fight for dignity and equity for all community members.
