Jerrold Nadler is an American lawyer and politician who has served as a U.S. Representative from New York since 1992. He currently represents New York's 12th Congressional District, which includes parts of Manhattan. Nadler served as Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee from 2019 to 2023 and is a founding member of the LGBT Equality Caucus. A graduate of Columbia University and Fordham Law School, he previously served 16 years in the New York State Assembly.
