A member of the Democratic Party, Edmonds assumed office on March 8, 2022, following a special election. Born in Titusville, Florida, he earned a bachelor's degree from Florida Atlantic University. Outside of politics, Edmonds has worked as a non-profit executive and children's book author. He currently resides in West Palm Beach, Florida.
