Joan M. Voss, born August 21, 1940, is an accomplished public servant and educator. She earned her B.A. and M.A. from Montclair State University and an Ed.D. from Fordham University, retiring after 41 years teaching in Fort Lee. Her political career includes four terms on the Fort Lee Borough Council, service in the New Jersey General Assembly from 2004 to 2012, where she was Deputy Majority Leader, and her current role as Bergen County Commissioner Chair Pro Tempore, an office she assumed in 2012. She is seeking reelection as Bergen County Commissioner in 2026.
