Joanna Mendoza

JoAnna Mendoza, a Democratic candidate for the U.S. House, grew up in a Pinal County farmworker family, inspiring her commitment to public service. She honorably served 20 years in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps, including deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Mendoza holds a bachelor's and master's degree. Her career includes veterans outreach and serving as a veteran services representative for Congressman Tom O'Halleran. A single mother, she prioritizes reducing costs for food, gas, and housing. Mendoza, who is bisexual and Latinx/Hispanic, is endorsed by LGBTQ+ Victory Fund, JStreetPAC, and Giffords.
