John Dove, Jr.

John Calvin Dove, Jr. is a Democratic candidate for the Maryland House of Delegates in Legislative District 12B. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, he also holds an MBA from Loyola University of Maryland. Dove served for eight years in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Logistics Officer, with service in the Persian Gulf War. Following his military career, he worked for over 27 years in the implantable medical device industry, retiring from Medtronic as a sales leader. He currently works for a digital healthcare startup and serves as the appointed Commissioner of Occupational and Professional Licensing for the Maryland Department of Labor. Dove lives in Gambrills with his wife, Rhonda, and they have four children.
