John Eder is a Republican State Representative for Maine's House District 136, serving his third nonconsecutive term. A Waterboro resident, he is a self-employed house painter, political consultant, and outreach coordinator for Health Choice Maine. Holding a BA in Political Science, he is married with two children and serves on the Government Oversight and Housing and Economic Development committees. Eder advocates for constitutional rights including speech, self-defense, property, and privacy, and has urged revoking Gulf of Maine offshore wind leases. He was previously Maine's first Green Party legislator before joining the Republican party in 2024. He aims to defend these principles.
