John J. Beloved is a resident of Chestertown, Maryland, who has been actively engaged in local Kent County politics. Living on Devon Drive, Beloved sought to represent his community by running for the Chestertown Town Council in Ward 3 during a special election in early 2026. He participated in a candidate forum hosted by the League of Women Voters. Shortly thereafter, Beloved filed as a non-partisan candidate for the Kent County Board of Education ahead of the 2026 primary election. Though he launched a campaign website, state records indicate he withdrew his candidacy for the Board of Education on April 14, 2026.
