Jon S. Cardin

Jon S. Cardin is a Democratic politician representing District 11B in Baltimore County as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on January 12, 1970, he first served in the House from 2003 to 2015 and was later re-elected to his position in 2018. His educational background includes a bachelor's degree from Tufts University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law. Before entering public service, Cardin's career spanned several fields; he worked as a teacher, an attorney, and a community relations associate with the Baltimore Jewish Council. During his tenure in the legislature, he has been a member of the Judiciary Committee. He is also the nephew of U.S. Senator Ben Cardin.
