José Javier Rodríguez is a Democratic candidate for Attorney General of Florida in 2026. He previously represented District 37 in the Florida State Senate from 2016 to 2020 and served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2012 to 2016. An attorney by profession, Rodríguez has a background in labor and workers' rights law. Most recently, he served as the U.S. Assistant Secretary of Labor for Employment and Training under the Biden administration from 2024 to 2025.
