Joseph Jones

Dr. Joseph Jones has served on the Windsor Heights City Council since first being elected in 2017 and was re-elected in 2021. He is the Chief Community Impact Officer for United Way of Central Iowa. His extensive career in public service includes roles as Chief of Staff at Des Moines University, Executive Director for The Harkin Institute for Public Policy & Citizen Engagement, and Senior Vice President of Government Relations for the Greater Des Moines Partnership. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in economics from Loyola University New Orleans, a Master of Public Administration, and a Ph.D. from Drake University. He is also a graduate of the United States Military Academy Preparatory School.
