Joseph R. Porras

Joseph R. Porras is an incumbent Judge of the Superior Court of Los Angeles County, a position he has held since his appointment in 2012 by Governor Jerry Brown. His current term is set to end on January 4, 2027. Prior to his appointment to the bench, Porras served as a Deputy District Attorney in the Hardcore Gang Division of the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office from 1999 to 2012. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and his J.D. from Loyola Law School.
