State Senator Josh Carnley, a Republican, represents Alabama's District 31 (Coffee, Covington, Pike, and northern Dale Counties). An incumbent and a "Conservative's conservative," he was born and raised in Ino, graduating from Kinston High School in 1997 and attending Auburn University. He serves as vice chairman of the Senate State & Local Government committee. Carnley is running for re-election in 2026 to continue his work on conservative, common-sense solutions. His legislative accomplishments include cutting the grocery tax, banning DEI in state agencies and education, protecting veterans, and passing an energy infrastructure plan to power economic growth.
