Josh Dunwoody was elected to the Altoona City Council in January 2022. He grew up in Cambridge, Iowa, and moved to Altoona with his family in 2015. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies from Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary and a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership from Crown College. Dunwoody owns a small-business consulting company, Tactical Advantage Business Solutions, and co-owns Merle Norman – Clocktower Square with his wife. He is also a Company Commander in the Iowa Army National Guard. His community involvement includes coaching for the Altoona Soccer Club and Altoona Baseball League, and serving on the boards of the Altoona Sesquicentennial Celebration, Altoona Palooza, and the Altoona Chamber of Commerce.
