Josh Hoover is a Republican politician serving as a member of the California State Assembly for the 7th district, representing parts of Sacramento County including Citrus Heights, Folsom, and Rancho Cordova. He assumed office in December 2022. Prior to his election to the Assembly, Hoover worked as a legislative aide for over a decade and served as a school board member for the Folsom Cordova Unified School District. He holds a bachelor's degree from UCLA and a master's degree from USC.
