Juan Alanis is a Republican politician and former law enforcement officer serving as the California State Assembly Member for District 22 since 2022. Prior to his election to the Assembly, Alanis spent 27 years in the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department, serving in roles including patrol watch commander and sergeant. In the Assembly, he has served as Vice Chair of the Public Safety Committee and the Labor and Employment Committee. Alanis holds a bachelor's degree from California State University, Stanislaus.
