Katie Porter is a Democratic candidate for Governor of California in 2026. A former U.S. Representative, she represented California's 45th and 47th congressional districts from 2019 to 2025. During her tenure, she served as deputy chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and gained national attention for her sharp questioning of corporate executives during committee hearings. Porter holds a B.A. from Yale University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. She currently teaches at the UC Irvine School of Law.
