Kelly Hastings has represented the 110th district in the North Carolina House of Representatives since 2011. He is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and Reserve and has worked as a realtor since 1997. His career outside of politics has included roles as a waiter, manufacturer, construction worker, farmer, educator, and parole officer. Hastings earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication, Marketing, and Management from Appalachian State University in 1986 and a graduate teaching certificate from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He resides in Cherryville, North Carolina.
