Kimberly Roney is a candidate for City of Asheville Mayor in Asheville, North Carolina — 2026 Primary Election. Running as Non-partisan.

Kim Roney has served on the Asheville City Council since 2020. She is a music educator, community organizer, and small business owner who has lived in Asheville since 2006. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Asheville, she is also a co-founder of the community radio station 103.3 AshevilleFM, where she served as station manager. Roney was Asheville's first openly-queer City Council member. She previously ran for mayor in 2022, advancing to the general election.
