Kris Fair

Kris Fair is a Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing Legislative District 3. He assumed office on January 11, 2023, becoming the first openly gay lawmaker elected from western Maryland. A native of Montgomery County, Fair earned an associate degree from Frederick Community College before completing a bachelor's degree in history and political science at Hood College. His professional experience includes roles as the executive director of the Frederick Center and as a legislative director for a state delegate. In the House of Delegates, Fair serves on the Ways and Means Committee and chairs the Maryland Legislative LGBTQ+ Caucus.
