Lance G. Richardson

Lance G. Richardson, a Republican, is the State's Attorney for Queen Anne's County, Maryland, a position he has held since January 2009. He was initially appointed and subsequently re-elected in 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2022. His career in the county includes serving as an Assistant Public Defender from 1996 to 2003 and as a Deputy State's Attorney from 2003 to 2008. Richardson earned his B.A. from the University of Maryland College Park and his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He has been a member of the Maryland Bar since 1994. His community involvement includes serving as a Character Counts coach and on the board of Mid-Shore Pro Bono.
