Larry Gillis is a retired criminal lawyer, U.S. Army veteran, and adjunct professor of legal studies. A graduate of Harvard College and Boston University School of Law, he served as a state representative and city prosecutor in New Hampshire. After moving to Cape Coral, Florida, Gillis became active in the Libertarian Party of Florida, serving as a director-at-large. In 2024, he filed to run for Florida State House District 79 before withdrawing to run for the Cape Coral City Council.
