Laura Nan Cook

Laura Nan Cook is the Republican candidate and incumbent Register of Wills for Queen Anne's County, Maryland. A lifelong resident of the county who grew up on Kent Island, Cook began working in the Queen Anne's County Register of Wills Office in 1999. She served as a probate auditor, PC Administrator, and Assistant Chief Deputy before being elected Register in 2014. Earlier in her career, Cook worked in Washington, D.C., serving in the Reagan Administration under Education Secretary William Bennett and as a staff assistant for the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee. She later worked for the Maryland General Assembly's Department of Legislative Services.
